Juliana Elizabeth Boneta, O.D.
Director of Clinical Research
Dr. Juliana Boneta received her doctorate of optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. Specializing in low vision rehabilitation, she continued her optometric training through residency in hospital-based optometry and ophthalmic co-management at Northport VA Medical Center.
With an affinity for clinical research, Dr. Boneta also worked as a research analyst for the State University of New York Research Foundation prior to starting her optometric studies. Upon graduation she was awarded the Chancellors Award for Student Excellence, the highest honor bestowed upon a student by the university. She has authored numerous Academic papers, posters, and several peer-reviewed publications. She has lectured and published on topics related to ocular disease, including glaucoma and azoor, and new diagnostic imaging. She is an active member of the American Academy of Optometry and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
Dr. Boneta’s passion for clinical research is only matched by her love for the great outdoors. An action enthusiast, she is always ready for her next challenge. Having just completed her scuba certification, Dr. Boneta is ready to tackle wind surfing.
